Terms of Service

Effective:

These are the rules for using Duelto. They are short because the platform is small and free. By creating an account you agree to them.

Who can play

You must be at least 8 years old. If you are under 13, you sign up with a parent or guardian’s email address and the account only works once they confirm it. A parent or guardian who confirms an account is agreeing to these terms on the child’s behalf.

We ask for your birth year once, at sign-up, and it cannot be changed afterwards. Giving a false age is a breach of these terms.

Your account

One account per person. Keep your password to yourself; anything done with your account is treated as done by you. If you think someone else has access, change your password and tell us.

Fair play

The ranking is the point of the platform, so these are the things that break it:

  • Using software to choose your moves.
  • Running several accounts to feed each other wins.
  • Arranging results with an opponent to move ratings.
  • Deliberately disconnecting to avoid a loss.

Usernames

Your username is public. Do not use one that is abusive or hateful, that impersonates someone else, or that gives away personal details — your own or anyone else’s. This matters more than usual here, because some players are children. We can rename or remove an account that breaks this.

When we can suspend an account

We can suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms, that is used to harass another player, or that puts a child at risk. Where it is reasonable we will say why first, but for anything involving a child’s safety we will act immediately.

The service is provided as it is

Duelto is free and offered without warranties. We do our best to keep it running and to keep ratings correct, but we do not promise it will always be available, and we may change or discontinue games. Games currently marked as paused are not available to play.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from using the platform.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account. That ends these terms between us, except for the parts that are meant to survive, such as the limitation of liability above.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
